Decisions you
won't
regret in year three.

Strategic advice for owners, sponsors, and policymakers planning waste-to-energy projects. Bankable feasibility, feedstock strategy, financial structuring, GOBARdhan and SATAT alignment. Advice grounded in 12 commissioned plants and 23 in operation.

The signature surface

Six lenses. One decision.

Every BioSarthi consulting engagement examines the project through six lenses. We do not hand you six reports. We hand you one decision document with the trade-offs explicit.

Engagements range from 4-week feasibility scans to 16-week bankable DPRs.

Feedstock strategy
Availability, contracts, seasonality, pricing
Process selection
AD vs gasification vs pyrolysis. Yield economics.
Site & permits
Land, NOCs, environmental, factory licence pathway
Financial structuring
Equity, debt, viability gap funding, IREDA / SBI
Offtake & pricing
SATAT, IGL, retail, captive use. Tariff economics.
Risk & sensitivity
Feedstock, tariff, capex, operating risk modelled
How it works

Question to decision, in four stages.

Every consulting engagement starts with a question and ends with a decision. The four stages exist to make sure the decision is the right one, supported by evidence the owner's lender will accept.

C.01
Scoping
What's the question? Who decides? When? Output: agreed scope, 1 week.
C.02
Field work
Site, feedstock, market, finance. 3–8 weeks. Primary research, not desk.
C.03
Modelling
Financial, feedstock, sensitivity. 2 weeks. Cross-checked by senior partner.
C.04
Decision document
One report, one decision. With the trade-offs visible. 2 weeks.
What's covered

A complete view, one tile each.

Bankable, not theoretical.

Every BioSarthi consulting deliverable is built to be accepted by a lender, a board, or a regulator. We do not write reports for the shelf. Sources are primary, models are reviewable, recommendations are signed.

Primary feedstock surveys
We talk to the actual farmers, mills, mandis. Not desk research.
Lender-grade DPR
SBI, IREDA, NABFINS, NBFC formats. Acceptance track record.
GOBARdhan / SATAT alignment
Eligibility checked, tariff structure modelled, application pathway mapped.
Independent peer review
Every model and DPR cross-checked by a senior partner not on the engagement.
Decision document, not report
One page sets out the recommendation. The rest is evidence.
Sponsor + lender meetings
We are in the room when the decision is made. Up to 4 meetings included.

Frequently asked

Things owners ask first.

Project sponsors, owner-operators, infrastructure funds, state nodal agencies, central ministries. Not lenders directly (we'd be conflicted).
Anaerobic digestion (biogas, CBG), gasification, pyrolysis, MSW, agri-residue. We do not work outside waste-to-energy.
Yes, for state and central agencies. Recent work includes feedstock-pricing frameworks and SATAT contract-design reviews.
Strategy and structuring, yes. Introductions to lenders and equity partners, yes. We do not arrange or place capital.
4 weeks for a feasibility scan. 8–12 weeks for a bankable DPR. 16 weeks for a complex multi-feedstock or policy engagement.
Engagements are signed with explicit option-to-build clauses or no-build clauses. The owner chooses. About half of consulting clients later engage us for EPC; half do not.
